Bli med en tur til landsbyen hvor vi lager sølvsmykkene våre

A&C has been making our silver jewellery in Indonesia for a long time.  We were never happy with the quality of silver jewellery on the market, so we decided to try to make our own.  Now, after 15 years of development we are very proud to have our special silver workshop in Indonesia.  We make the designs in Norway, but the craftsmen are in Indonesia.  Indonesian silversmiths have a centuries long tradition in arts and crafts.   A&C, or Arts & Crafts which is our original name. really has a meaning.  We have this love for the handmade, we prefer authentic quality.  And we want our jewellery to be made well.
Her you can see how we do it.

Bananer i lange baner

sølvsmykker silver jewellery for WWF

This is the collection we have dedicated to WWF.  The jewelry is pure handmade silver, decorated with recycled glass.  It really reminds us of the sea, which is where we have found our inspiration for the design.
This is Birgit and Nina Jensen. She is director of conservation policy in WWF Norway.

The journalists were queing up to enter into the icebar.

Everybody had to get dressed to enter into the icecold bar.

People were lining up to take a look at the beautiful silver jewellery collectionsand to take their own photos.

Here is the team from the WWF office in Norway.  This is the second time A&C is selling products for the benefit of WWF.  We are very happy to cooperate with such a serious environmental organisation.

Director Nina Jensen was talking about WWF s efforts to preserve and protect the ocean.  And how important life in the ocean is, even more so for us Norwegians who are surrounded by the sea.  She also expressed their gratitude for the amounts A&C has managed to rise for WWF and the important task it is to preserve our environment.

Icebar Oslo is defenitely a cool place to visit ! You can actually buy A&C jewellery there too !

The launch of our Pure silver collection for WWF

Weldome to Icebar Oslo
A&C Norway was holding a presslaunch of our new silver collection for WWF
We were presenting our beautiful new collection of pure handmade silver, inspired by nature!

The WWF event is a local Norwegian happening, and not available outside of Norway.
We are very proud to cooperate with the worlds larges environmental organization.  This is the second time we are doing it.  Last time we made polar bear jewellery and collected NOK 350.000,- for WWF.

This is a pretty cold experience.  Everybody has to wear thermal ponchos.
Our A&C market team Anette and Jeanette
A very wise quote there !

The WWF pandas were decorating the icebar.
This is Nina Jensen from WWF holding an opening speach
This special ice torso was specially made for the event

We had many local bloggers visiting, which is great.

There is a very special atmosphere in the icebar.
Eveything is made from natural ice, and sculpted into walls, tables and even the drinkinglasses !

The design process and our office

Hi there !

Im Truls !
And I am the cutest little office baby at the moment.
That because my mum is the productdesigner at
Arts & Crafts. And she has to draw the design for the next collection. So she cant stay home with me, even if she has her maternity leave.

But its OK. Because there are so many ladies here, and they all love me !
And I dont mind them either !

My mums office turns into a nursery, and she brings lots of toys for me to play with.

And I am such a good baby, and I just smile and are happy all the time.

I play with my interesting toys, but I must admit that the book about the duck is starting to bore me a little bit.

But then my mum can work. She is called Katja, and she really loves her job here at Arts & Crafts.
Thats because its a really nice and friendly atmosphere, where people can be themselves.

My mum looks cute to ! Dont you think ?
She looks a lot like me, actually.

I just smile all the time !!

And when Aunti Birgit comes to work with my mum, I like to sit on her lap.

We are really good friends Aunti Birgit and I.

But sometimes I pull her hair. Earrings are good to pull too.

And if I get bored, I go to one of the other aunties. There are many of them around, since Arts & Crafts is company with many women.

And sometimes I want my mum. Shes the best !

Here are some more girls. Birgit sais they are really good, and they all love jewellery !

But now they have finished the drawings for next season, so now I have to stay home with my Mum.

Bye for now
Love from Truls

P.S. Aunti Birgit misses me.......
